Pakistani’s Messages and Duas to Corona Virus’s (COVID-19) Italian fighters of Bergamo city (15,000 Corona Infected cases)

So I have been traveling the Entire world and doing so comes with benefits of meeting people. My Friend Mat is an Italians living in Bergamo city that houses half of the Corona Virus infected Italians. 2^nd WORST HIT CITY OF COVID-19 IN THE WORLD.

Since Mat is living and breathing in that area I thought that he would give me the most accurate resource on COVID-19. First as a Pakistani and a Muslim I communicated to him that we support him and his country in this time of need. That My Ammi prays for all Italian friends of mine, especially the ones I meet in my Exploration.

Current situation:

The Italians cannot leave the country, heck they cannot leave their home unless it is for Emergency. There is death everywhere and the majority of people dying are elderly, low immune system or people already having precondition diseases, with schools and university being closed till 3^rd April 2020 and that’s not all the situation is getting worse. This closure will likely exceed.

How is it being diagnosed? Who foots the Bill?

If you have severe symptoms you call a special hotline number and if they determine your symptoms meets the standard a special team of paramedics will come receive you via ambulance to the hospital. Since the Italian health care system is free the government foots the bill.  Italians don’t pay for COVID Diagnosis or Treatment.

Any Foreign Help Italy is getting?

China has sent multiple equipments; To include Facemasks, Gloves, Sanitizers and Medical Teams to include Doctors and Nurses. The European Union has dispatched financial aids, particularly to combat this, However Individual E.U. members have not sent aid.

Do you see it getting better in the next 2 weeks ?

No, actually it seems to progress. It will get worse as more people get diagnosed and affected. Most likely and hopefully it will get better in a month from now on (3 Mar 2020).

Are countries under reporting the (COVID-19) affected numbers?

Yes, many European countries are severely under reporting it for the sake their economy, touristic image and the follow up repercussion they will face within the international community as a tourism hub. Hence, they are under reporting.

Is Italy doing it?

For the Fortune of its citizens, Italy decided to be transparent and declare the situation as is. Italy cared more about its people than its economy. Many other European countries are severely under reporting their number, but Italy has been transparent to its number and that has allowed it to tackle it. Hopefully, it will tackle the problem before any other European country as Italy has been transparent and immediately implemented strict policies to curb Coronavirus.

Since you are in the most affected area in Italy, do you think other emerging countries are on the right approach to tackle this growing corona virus?

Most countries have now realized the seriousness of corona virus and are now finally on the right track. They are taking corrective measures, implementing quarantine and providing medical help. They are not sidelining it anymore and doing the right thing.

You’ve got a message for the Pakistani praying for the Italians?

Please pray for us ! Especially for the elders.

Summary

That’s a wrap guys. Please pray for Italy. As I type this interview, Mat and his family are surviving in the worst COVID-19 area of Italy. Pray for him and his family and for all the Italians, as he said the situation is just getting worse. Further, I hope someone in Pakistan Foreign embassy notices this and hopefully provide our fellow Italians the help they need. For the 110,000 Pakistani Italians, stay strong, you aren’t abandoned, you aren’t just an individual made to send remittance money, you are a Pakistan as well so have faith in Pakistan.
