About Me

AIR WARFARE SPECIALIST

Hello, my name is Ali Ansari.

I am Lahore born Karachi raised Chicago educated Seattle based Naval Non-Commissioned officer.

Born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1995. I had the pleasure to learn and interact with one of the oldest culture in South-Asia -PUNJABI.  There I learned the love for Food, ranging all the way from World famous Food street to the Mughal Era created Shalimar Bagh (Grand Garden).
Shortly I moved to Islamabad, learned that the city was more organized then my chronologically sorted history book.  I saw monutments ranging from the then largest mosque in the world-  Shah-Faisal Mosque to Mesuem’s with aritfctas from 1st to the 7th centuries CE Taxilla Museum.
Fast forward a couple more years, and I moved to the seventh largest city in the world- Karachi. This place had grown from a small fishermen village to a large scale global city with a estimated population of  14 Million people. I witnessed and toured magnificent places like the Tomb Of Quaid, The magnificent university of Karachi.

In 2011, I moved to the windiest windy city in Midwest. Yes you got it right its non other than Kanye’s Chicago. Now when I moved here I knew there things, the president was from here, graduation album was made here and the bean was a must selfie.
I visited places like obviously the bean, the water tower, lake Michigan, Downtown Loop. Fast forward, finished nursing at UofC, made a salon in Downtown Chicago and then moved.
I visited Meridian Mississippi for 3 months and boy was that the hottest place I’ve ever been to. I could assure you thought that place was a southern heaven. I met people who broke all stereotype. Being Brown in one of the most conservative southern states is no fun, but boy oh boy I was treated as equal as anyone elder. in fact, I got complimentary hot air balloon rides, airplanes rides and classical car tours. I felt as though I was privileged there.
Next I drove to Pensacola, Florida and started to explore this party spot. This place was lit. there were clubs inside almost every establishment. shoreline everywhere and cheapest Yacht and Jet ski rentals rates. this place did remind me of Karachi’s beaches. the environment was same and so was the overall surrounding.

Then I moved to Oak harbor, WA. this undiscovered island is a actually one of gems of Pacific north west. located close to Seattle and Vancouver it allowed me to adopt both these cities. every weekend I would either go to Seattle or Vancouver based on my preference (because I had to make my Friday prayers). I met generous people through out my journey. they were kind and always helped. friends who would drive from border of Canada to come help me out here.  these kind of bonds are not made, they are forged with loyalty, and hard work.

Now, I am just adding more places to my list and I will blog about them as I add them so that all of my few thousand followers can see and appreciate all of this.
